Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is a psychological version of acupuncture except that needles aren't necessary. Instead, you tune into your emotional
issue while stimulating stress relief points by tapping on yourself with your fingertips. This provides a meridian balancing effect that replaces emotional distress with a form of peace. As people experience EFT, most report a profound easing of stress-producing emotions like anxiety and fear, anger and frustration, sadness, even cravings.
Many people are able to go deeper into their issues as EFT ‘peels the layers of the onion’ and at those levels, real transformation can take place. You may be aware that certain situations tend to upset you. It’s as if we have emotional wiring programmed into us from prior experiences. EFT helps us rewire the emotional patterns within so that we are no longer triggered in painful ways. It is literally emotional freedom to feel different, lighter, less burdened by the past, and less susceptible to reacting with painful emotion.
While conventional therapy used to take months or years and thousands of dollars, EFT usually allows you to achieve lasting results in 2-5 sessions. And with EFT, we do have quite a few ‘one-session-wonders!’

Barbara has found that tapping along with a client is highly beneficial. It creates a 'field' which increases the speed and effectiveness of EFT. The field effect is another reason why the group EFT Clinic is so successful. Most clients find EFT to be very relaxing, and some will even yawn during the session, as Barbara frequently does. This is just an indication that the tapping is changing and moving the energy. |

It doesn't really matter whether you tap on positive or negative statements; both absolutely work! However, one may work better for you than someone else, or better for one particular aspect. If what you are using is not working, try the opposite. Barbara prefers to start with the negative. If it is working, then she will shift to the positive affirmations near the end. |

Using Law of Attraction, you may tap while focusing on thoughts that feel good, and then you will begin to attract more things (thoughts, events, manifestations) that make you feel that same way. And it is much more pleasant to focus on what you want and why you want it, than to keep looking at something that is frustrating, depressing or painful! |
